We created a fail-over cluster using KVM-based virtual servers and integrated CEPH storage. In addition to standard security measures such as RAIDs, hardware redundancy and on-site storage of cold spares, we implemented a system where in the rare event of a physical server failure, the virtual server seamlessly switches to another server within the cluster.
